Hi friends another new article on What is Central Flow Surface Condenser? it is important type in surface condenser so let's start further information,

Guy's Central Flow Surface Condenser the topic is important and related with subject of thermodynamics.

Central Flow Surface Condenser

Introduction

Central flow surface condenser is enhancement of the down flow surface condenser. The central flow surface condenser the exhaust steam pass through top and flows in downward.

The suction pipe and air extraction pump is placed at center of tube. This causes the steam to flow rapidly inward over the tubes towards the suction pipe.

Condensate is collected at bottom and then it pumped. In this type of condenser the volute is provided around the tube nest. Thus gives an access to the whole periphery of tubes.

Advantages

1) Vacuum efficiency is high.

2) Low grade cooling water used for condensation.

Disadvantages

1) Required large floor area.

2) Water requirement is large.

So guy's this article we discussed What is Central Flow Surface Condenser? Advantages  and Disadvantages hope you understand best.
