 What is Bore Gauge:-

Bore gauge is measuring instrument which measures internal diameter of hole using with master gauge (ring gauge).

A bore gauge, also known as a bore dial gauge or internal micrometer, is a measuring instrument used to determine the internal diameter or bore size of a hole or cylindrical cavity. It is commonly used in engineering, machining, and manufacturing industries.

A bore gauge typically consists of a measuring head or probe attached to a handle or frame. The measuring head contains two or three spring-loaded anvils or contact points that can be expanded or contracted. The contact points make contact with the inner surface of the hole being measured, and their position is indicated on a scale or dial.

To use a bore gauge, the anvils are set to a smaller size than the hole being measured. The gauge is then inserted into the hole, and the contact points expand until they touch the inner surface of the bore. The measurement is read from the scale or dial, indicating the size of the hole.

Bore gauges come in various types and designs, including traditional analog gauges with dial indicators and modern digital gauges with electronic displays. They can have different ranges and accuracy levels, depending on the specific application requirements.
